Our first YE project where Tarkade Kivi participated as a partner organisation took place in Ogre, Latvia, organized by Pardaugava Folk Music Society NGO from Riga. The main idea was to meet young people from France, Montenegro, Latvia, Serbia and Estonia to teach traditional dances and songs to each other.
Here you can see special friendship between Estonia and Montenegro. The match was so good, that other participants used to call our “gang” as a maffia! 🙂
Those days were full of joy and creativity, but hard work learning new steps, words, melodies as well.
Beside of learning and teaching and discussions we had several performances also.
We played at Riga Dance Club (http://www.folkdance.lv/lat/rigas-dancu-klubs/) and in Culture House of Ogre.
One day we spent in Riga challenging in finding important places and taking photos.
The coolest task was to play on the streets in mixed groups, acting as a street musicians and collecting money 🙂 As you can see, it worked out well:

The place we had project activities was a small nice guest house Jaunsvelmes in countryside (50 km from Riga). In Skriveri, pretty near to this place you can find small candy factory which is famous because of their special milk candies: http://www.skriverusaldumi.lv/lat/ Here we were offered a golden opportunity to make those candies by ourselves:
After having fun with candies we had a nice walk in Skriveri Dendrological Park: http://www.latvia.travel/en/sight/skriveri-dendrological-park.
At the end of the day our company were rewarded with an interactive play about latvian epos Lacplesis (the Bear Killer).
Those were absolutely great days we spent in Ogre during this YE! Many thanks to Inga Holsta and other latvians for organizing so nice project! Estonian group with Martin Müller, Anni Rikker, Hans Mihkel Vares, Asso Int and me are going to say thanks to everybody and we apologise about our loud and grazy mood 🙂 Look at this “room plan” and you will understand:

A. Pumpursi muuseumis saime elamuspõhise õppemeetodi kaudu teada läti rahvuseeposest Lacplesis!

Kõige suurema töö tegi aga MTÜ Pardaugava folk music society Riiast (http://muzikanti.lv/en/about-us/)!
Lõpetuseks ühe Montenegro laulu sõnad, mis osutus üheks projekti hittlooks:
